BiographY

It was in 2016 that KINGSTON CALLING – Tribute to Bob Marley was born in a small town in Morbihan.

The Reggae Roots sounding band, formed by guitarist Stéphane Dahan, is growing through numerous residencies, concerts and cultural events.

In 2018, Steph and Kazy's encounter sparked a true human and artistic love affair. Together, they developed the very essence of KINGSTON CALLING.

Coming from Madagascar in 2002, Kazy is a singer with a pure voice, between strength and sensitivity. Already well established on the reggae scene (DUB CAMP FESTIVAL, NO LOGO BZH, UPRISING FESTIVAL, etc.) as well as in venues (Capellia, Le Ferrailleur, etc.) and rich in his numerous collaborations (Alpha Blondy, Danakil, Clinton Fearon, Julian Marley, Marcus Gad, The Congos, Twinkle Brothers, Winston Mc Anuff), he naturally establishes himself as master of ceremonies with KINGSTON CALLING, who perfectly embodies the world of Robert Nesta Marley.

The group now has eight musicians (Kazy, Bema, Ioane, Stéphane, Lionel, Jérome, Olivier and Jean-Noël), all committed to the faithful reproduction of the great Bob Marley titles as well as the sounds, grains and textures so particular to the Wailers.

Through this approach, KINGSTON CALLING simply wishes to pay a profound tribute to Robert Nesta Marley and his immense work.
