BiographY

Bokale Brass Band is a professional brass band based in Bayonne. Active since 2012, it brings together seven musicians passionate about New Orleans brass bands. With over 500 concerts under its belt, the group has built up solid experience on both stage and street.
Winner of the Jazz en Mars competition in Tarnos in 2017 and the Haizetara international brass band competition in Spain in 2022, Bokale has established itself as a benchmark in the contemporary brass band scene.
The group has had the opportunity to play in the streets and clubs of New Orleans, where it recorded its third album, currently being finalized. The release is scheduled for soon. Two albums are already available.
Bokale energetically blends traditional jazz, second-line groove, and original compositions, and adapts to any type of setting: acoustic, strolling, or soundstage. It performs at festivals as well as for public and private events, and regularly offers masterclasses.
